Open Mic

This was a great week for Albany Poets as we held our first in what we hope to be many live broadcasts of Poets Speak Loud at McGeary’s with featured poet Alicia Ortiz. We are bringing the equipment with us to Valentine’s this coming Tuesday for 21st installment of the  Nitty Gritty Slam.

Speaking of the NGS, this week we also began our big fund raising campaign to help Team Nitty Gritty travel down to Charlotte to represent Albany at the National Poetry Slam for the very first time. If you want to find out how you can help, read the press release that went out the other day.
