8:00pm – Northampton Poetry Open Mic

Northampton’s only weekly open mic poetry night offers some of the best, most creative voices in the county. Every Tuesday night at 8:00pm.

7:30pm – Utica Poets Society Spoken Word Open Mic

8:00pm – Voice Less Readings

Voice Less is a weekly reading series hosted by Noah David Roberts focused on giving those who feel like their art is not heard a place where they can share, listen, and become inspired.

Friday, May 11

An open mic and reading at the Pine Hollow Arboretum featuring Mong Lan, a poet, writer, photographer, musician, composer, dancer and teacher of Argentine tango from  Sugar Land, Texas.

8:00pm – Hudson Valley Poets’ Poetry Night

Hudson Valley Poets’ Poetry Night an open mic and featured reader Ed Fisher at the Howland Cultural Center on the second Friday of every month, hosted by Hayden Wayne.

 

Saturday, May 12

G. Douglas Davis, IV (D. Alexander Holiday) presents his newest work, Kith & Kin: A  Klannish, Klownish Tragik Komedy, a mix of prose and poetry with a very unique point of view.

2:00pm – Woodstock Poetry Society

Monthly poetry open mic in beautiful Woodstock, NY hosted by Chronogram Poetry Editor Phillip Levine with featured poets Judith Saunders and Lucia Cherciu.

7:00pm – Volume Reading Series
Spotty Dog Books & Ale, 440 Warren Street, Hudson, NY
Volume is a FREE reading and music series featuring prose, poetry, and a short DJ set every second Saturday at Spotty Dog Books and Ale in Hudson NY. This month’s featured performers are Shira Dentz, Sam J. Miller and Kathline Carr.

7:30pm – Melanin Magic
