Poetry reading with Jenn Marie Nunes, Laurin DeChae and Kenning Jean-Paul García
Jenn Marie Nunes is the author of AND/OR (2015), winner of the Switchback Books Queer Voices award, and seven chapbooks, including Juned, winner of the YesYes Books 2015 Vinyl 45 Chapbook Contest. Her work appears in numerous journals, including ACTION, YES!, Ninth Letter, Black Warrior Review, Juked, Sixth Finch, and Dreginald, and she is co-founding editor of TENDE RLOIN, an online gallery for poetry. Her second full-length collection, those people, was selected as the winner of the 2016 National Poetry Review Press Book Prize and is forthcoming.
Kenning Jean-Paul García grew up in Brooklyn, NY and studied linguistics at SUNY Albany. Xe is the author of the no(t)vel OF (What Place Meant) as well as ROBOT: the Waste Land Reimaged and other experimental/speculative epic ebooks. Xe is the founder and one and only member of the NahNahist School of Rejectionist Literature and is an Afro-absurdist diarist, performer, antipoet, and shortform visual essayist. Xe is also a pop culture humorist and writer of various lists, erasure, and other running gags on social media. When xe is not hard at work on creating content of all sorts, xe is an editor at Rigorous.
LAURIN DECHAE is a PhD candidate in Composition & Rhetoric at SUNY Albany. She received her MFA in poetry from the University of New Orleans. Her work appears or is forthcoming in Harpur Palate, Animal Literary, Pretty Owl Poetry and elsewhere.
