St. Rocco’s presents Deirtra Thompson & Jeremy Hoevenaar
Jeremy Hoevenaar is a writer and artist living in Brooklyn with his beautiful family. He’s the author of Cold Mountain Mirror Displacement (American Books), Our Insolvency (Resolving Host), and Insolvency, Insolvency! (Ugly Duckling Presse). He’s currently working on a series of lyrical essays about debt, thresholds, obsessive compulsive disorder, and John Carpenter’s The Thing.
Deirtra Thompson is a writer and artist working with film, video, sculpture, and drawing. Using both linear and experimental narrative forms, Thompson creates fictional environments that mirror and mutate real world structures in order to explore the relationships between language, labor, and systems of authority. Her first book, Freeze Forensics, is forthcoming on Cashimotos Press. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

The first reader begins around 4:45pm. Each reader gets 15-20mins.
This is a free event but we pass the hat for donations for our readers. Poets usually have books for sale as well
